| Gold River is a community located in the eastern part of Sacramento County, just northeast of the city of Sacramento. It is bordered by the American River to the north and the Rancho Cordova community to the south. The population was 7,812 at the 2010 census, down from 8,023 at the 2000 census. | |

| Located on the beautiful Lake Natoma in Gold River, the Aquatic Center is a National Boating Instruction Safety Center where it offers classes, camps, facility reservations, team building, youth groups and equipment rentals. It is open to the general public. | |
